An evening of racing and a chance to dress up…

So, we all got dolled up in our finest, the weather held out for us and the going was good to firm!! With a good representation of the Foundation teams from Ilkley and Lancaster, and even the occasional appearance by a client, we had a rare old time at Ripon Races last week. I was particularly delighted with the bubbly we ordered for the event, a little known Prosecco that the Italian vineyard had named in my honour ‘Villa Sandi’ – ever so kind of them, think I spent a month there back in the 80’s, obviously, left my mark .
We ran a competition amongst staff and clients to design a jockey’s jersey, some interesting designs coming through but sincerely pleased these people aren’t relying on designing for their regular income! A young lady from Best Western won for her inspired design, with my representation of a Zandra Rhodes meets Vivienne Westwood coming a close second.
A good evening was had by all, thanks to those who came – I’ve booked for next year too, so ideas for a competition are welcome – possibly a limerick, infact here’s your opener:
“There was a young man called Neil,………………….”
Get you thinking caps on, entries close May 16th 2010!!!

We’re really pleased that Liz Stevenson has joined us here at Foundation. We don’t think she realises what it’s going to be like – but that’s her lookout! Liz thinks she’s joining us to support our business development, bless! We like all-rounders here and I think Liz will fit in really well – she’s come from Millennium and before that JDA, so she’s certainly had a lot of agency experience, now we just need to Foundationise her.
